Solicits Nominations for Achievement Awards

ATA recognizes and honors individuals of Telugu origin residing in United States of America for significant success in their professional, literary, arts and performance fields or contributed for humanitarian/community causes.

On behalf of the ATA, the Awards committee solicits the nominations for the following categories: 

1. Arts and performance
2. Business and Industry Entrepreneurship
3. Community & Humanitarian Service
4. Telugu Literature and Education
5. Excellence in Science and Technology
6. Excellence in Medicine
7. Youth Achievements or Youth activities

Individuals who are not covered in these categories but meets award criteria will be recognized in special categories.  Awards committee consisting of chairperson, co-chairperson, Secretary and President of ATA and two members (ATA members at large) will review nominations for these awards.

Nominees will be notified after review and formal approval process as per ATA bylaws and conference guidelines.  Awards will be presented at the ATA 2012 Conference, July 6-8, 2012, Atlanta, GA.  Interested individuals or others submitting nominations on behalf of individuals should send a brief Bio data, letters of recommendation or nominations along with support materials to the following address.  

Deadline for submission of nominations is May 31, 2012
