ATA to showcase two events focusing seniors and Visiting Parents in association with ‘Maitri’ during ATA Atlanta Convention 2012

For the first time in ATA history, Atlanta Convention is organizing two different events involving seniors and aimed all age groups. Every year thousands of parents visit their children living in US. Most of these parents and seniors living here attend these conventions along with their children. During such events they constantly look for people of their interest to connect and mingle with people. This will be an excellent opportunity. This Seminar will be a platform voice their opinion or simply vent their challenges. ATA has realized this need and will make is a regular event in future conventions too.

These events are organized in association with ‘Maitri’ a forum for Senior Citizens and Visiting parents. Members of Maitri meet twice every month. To learn more about ‘Maitri’, please visit our Maitri.org.

Here is an update about these events at the time this write-up has been composed (end of Feb 2012) before sending for publication:

Skit by Seniors and Kids born in US

A Short Skit involving visiting parents and children born and raised here in US has already been planned. A typical ‘encounter’ between Visiting Grandparent and US born and raised grandchild will be the theme of this skit. Participants of this skit have been finalized and final format is shaping up well.
