1. Categories

• Child -   8 - 13 years
• Junior - 14 -20 years
• Youth - 21 - 35 years

Participants must be no younger than 8 and no older than 35 as of July 1, 2012.

2. Procedure
Please complete and send the entry form through ATA website along with youtube link.

3. Submission of songs for 1st Round  

• Participants can choose any song from a Telugu language film. Total length of the recording should not exceed 3 minutes.   JN ATA 2012 team encourages participants to avoid indecent or obscene lyrics.
• Participant can record the song using any device but the recording should be clear and lyrics should be audible.  Poor recording may disqualify the entry.
• Karaoke tracks should NOT be used for recording.   Only taMbUra or some form of drone for Sruti can be used.

Deadline for submission of Song for 1st Round: May 06th, 2012

Screening for 1st Round:
A group of experienced judges will screen all the entries. Judging will be based on Sruthi, laya and diction.  A select number of participants in each category will advance to the 2nd round. They will be notified by May 10th, 2012.

4. Submission of songs for 2nd Round:
This round is for those who advanced to 2nd round through the selection process

1. Participants have to submit one song with Karaoke track (not exceeding 3-4 min)
2. Music clip (mp3) or youtube link should be sent to sing@ata2012.org with the following details.
   Name (First & Last)
   Song Name
   Contact Name
   Contact Email ID

Deadline for submission for 2nd Round: May 25th, 2012

Selection process  for 2nd Round:

The judges will audition the 2nd round entries using the same criteria as the first round. More emphasis will be given to expression, complexity of the song and the ease with which the singer is rendering the song.

Eight (8) participants in each category will be selected in the 2nd round. These are the semifinalists who will go to the 3rd round which will take place at the convention. Further details will be provided by June 5th, 2012.

5. 3rd Round: 

• The 3rd round will take place at the ATA 2012 convention in Atlanta.
• The 8 semifinalists in each category will sing one theme based song at the convention during the afternoon program between 2:00-5:00 PM on Saturday, July 7, 2012. Three finalists will be selected in each of the age groups. 
• The finals for all the three age groups will be held during the afternoon Sunaada Vinodini program on main stage between 2:00 -5:00 PM on Sunday, July 8, 2012. A winner will be selected from each of the categories.

The three winners will sing during the prime time program on Sunday, July 8th.

All performers are required to register for ATA 2012 convention.

• Registration is free.
• Jhummandi Naadam is being organized by ATA in collaboration with TORI (Teluguone Internet Radio).
•  To enter the competition you must be between 8 and 35 as of July 1, 2012.
• While registering you have to upload an audio/video clip of your entry onto youtube. It should be a Telugu Film song of no more than 3 minutes.
• Registered participants will be informed through email/web if selected for further rounds.
• The Finalists should bear their own expenses for the convention.
• Under any circumstances if the participant can not attend the finals at the convention, he/she will be disqualified from the competition.
• ATA JN team reserves the right of selecting the finalists. In case of any dispute, ATA JN team’s decision is final.
