Participants may be no younger than 8 and no older than 35 as of July 1st, 2012. A team must have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 12 participants. We realize that in a group dance, there may be participants belonging to different age groups. Please note that in any category there can be no more than 1 in a group of (5 to 8) participants who are outside their group range and no more than 2 in a group of (9 to 12) participants who are outside their group range.
2. Procedure
All participants have to submit an Entry Form to participate in the competition. Once the form is submitted, all communication will be via email and it is the responsibility of the participant to provide a correct email ID and a phone number for future correspondence. No other forms of registration will be accepted. Please ensure that a valid email address and a phone number are provided for future correspondence.
3. Submission of the dance item:
The lyrics should be in Telugu. It can be a dance from a Telugu movie, a folk dance, a light classical dance or a fast beat dance. It should be no longer than 8 minutes. We request that the lyrics, gestures, body movements and costumes are decent and are not vulgar.
Instructions for submitting Youtube entries:
The entries have to be submitted by uploading the item to youtube listed for “private sharing” only. Then forward the URL address to dance@ata2012.org.

4. Screening and Selection:
A group of experienced judges will screen the entries. Judging will be based on choreography, coordination, presentation and overall quality of the item. An entry can be disqualified if perceived to be indecent by the judges.
Two groups from each age category will be selected to perform on stage for the final round at the ATA 2012 convention. These finalists will be notified by June 6th, 2012 that they have been selected. The item that you submit for the entry will be the item that you will be performing on stage at the Convention.
5.Final Round:
The Final round will take place at the ATA 2012 convention in Atlanta, during the Sunaada Vinodini segment between 2 PM-5 PM on Saturday, July 7, 2012. The 2 finalists in each category will perform in front of the general audience. A winner will be selected from each of the categories by a panel of judges.
The most outstanding group among the three winners will be picked by celebrity judges to perform during the prime time program between 7 PM -9 PM on Sunday, July 8th.
6. ATA Registration Required:
Every participant who performs at the convention is required to register for ATA 2012 convention either as an individual or a member of the family.
